Discover JMX port on a Weblogic Server

Hello

I use ADDM 8.2 with December TKU.
I want to discover all the deep configuration of my Weblogic Server

I use the Pattern BEA.WebLogicApplicationServer.ApplicationServer and WebLogic.ExtendedDiscovery.DiscoverWebLogic

I can’t discover the JMX Port automaticaly. The only way to scan a JMX port is to indicate the default port. But I can have 20 or more Weblogic Instance on a server with its own JMX port.

The documentation specify that it’s possible to scan all the port but The trigger is not activate in my case.

How can I do that ?

Discovery Report question about installed software

Ok, the short of it is this:
Running ADDM 9.0.1
I am trying to see which machines I have (out of all of them 4,000+) with a particular piece of software installed and which do not.
Software is the Kaseya agent.
When I look at the ‘Product Types’ under ‘Software Inventory – Detail’ to try and find the kaseya client, it is not in this list.
This list is generated from what I understand and I see lots of other software that we run, but not this one.
Ideas, thoughts, suggestions?

Application relation deletion

When we create an application mapping, say it is related to 3 instances now. Later when I remove the instance references or hosts from the application mapping and contents tab and add new related instances or hosts. Will the old relationships to the application be deleted in CMDB.

Can both ADDM v8.3 and v9.x use the same windows proxy server?

Application Mapping multiple components of different hosts

Hi,

I have a requirement for mapping databases to applications. For this I added the respective databases(12 Db’s from 3 database instances of 3 hosts) in contents tab under DB Group. Now to map these nodes in application mapping, I cannot search only the 12 databases, as they are from different hots and have different naming.
Can I create individual functional components for Db’s from each host and map them to Application?
I create different sub groups for Db’s from different Hosts under contents tab?
Should the name of the sub group and functional component be same for each subgroup and Mapping component under Application mapping?

Create CSR for DNS alias rather than HostName

I am trying to set up HTTPS but I cannot have the hostnames I need in my organization so I am setting up DNS aliases. This will also allow me to do failover for contingency using FastDNS. But I need my ssl setup based on the DNS alias rather than the actual hostname and all connections will use the DNS alias. How can I generate a Server Key and CSR with the DNS alias?

We faced quiet challenge here with security and would appreciate any help and experience share.

Case description: Security guys wont give our service account debug programs permission. And without it we can not discover any IIS webserver. Yet we need webserver to build an BAI.

Solution we seek – any way to discover IIS without WMI lvl4 access, or any value reason to security to enable debug programs access.

Hello, gurus,

Need a little help with strange behavior of data in IP Address node.

I attempt to grain an IP address of SNMP managed device, which have plenty.
So far I use traverse and for any IP Address.node going to match fqdn with device sysname to confirm that this IP is the network management one.

What is confusing that if I simply take IP Address.ip_addr I get something like “10.0.0.1”, and if Ilook for fqdns then it returns “[’hostname.domain.zone‘]“ value with single quotas and square brackets.

Any idea why square brackets and single quotas included in field value? Any other way to verify proper IP address for sure?

P.S. after verify IP will try to execute ssh access on it.
