There is an exciting new stage in the evolution of Foundation just starting and I wanted to let the community know a little about what is happening.
By now many of you will have seen the press release announcing the intention of BMC Software to acquire Tideway and might be wondering what that might mean for the future.
From my point of view here at Tideway Towers it’s an interesting step as it will give us access to greater resources and knowledge which will allow us to evolve the product more effectively. I’m very much looking forward to working with my counterparts in the BMC Atrium architecture team to see what we can learn from each other and how best we can support our customers.
BMC Atrium is very often deployed along with our product as they are a good match for IT professionals looking to deepen their understanding and control of IT infrastructures; I anticipate that we will evolve a deeper integration with BMC Atrium in order to better support customers using the Atrium platform.
Does this mean the end of this community and our free community edition? Don’t worry, we’re not going anywhere and you can expect a continued set of community releases in order for you to see what the product is capable of.
In the short term a number of your forum regulars, myself included, are going to be busy introducing people to our product and working to move forward as quickly as we can with our new colleagues. Bear with us if we can’t always answer your question right away.
I’d love to answer questions you might have on the forum but in this interim period I need to direct you to the contacts in the press release here.
Thanks for your support this far, stick around for the next stage as we have plenty of exciting stuff planned.
