Tideway Foundation version 7.2 has now been released!
In line with this, the version of the Community Edition has been updated.
So what is new in 7.2?
The release has many new features and enhancements that you can now explore:
- SQL Database discovery and integration – Tideway Foundation can now be configured to interact with SQL databases. This feature enables deeper application dependency mapping, integration of business-contextual information, and licence discovery.
- Manual pattern execution – By making use of already discovered data, pattern development can now be accelerated by re-running patterns against the data of your choice.
- Pattern configuration – Pattern behaviour can now be modified without having to edit any TPL. The default TKU has been updated to make use of this.
- Discovery metadata – This useful new feature simplifies the diagnosis of discovery issues. A new Discovery Dashboard has been added that makes use of this data.
- Windows 2008 Support – Full discovery of Vista and Server 2008, as well as support for installing the Windows slave on these Operating Systems.
- End of life and hardware reference data – Tideway Foundation has extended its data model further by adding support for:
- Modelling hardware reference (specification) data in relation to the discovered physical hosts; includes a new dashboard.
- Modelling operating system end of life, end of support and end of extended support data; includes a new dashboard.
- Modelling software product end of life, end of support and end of extended support data; includes a new dashboard.
