I’ve searched the forums and docs for something related, but came up empty, so I’m looking for more help.
I got an ADDM Baseline: alert email that indicates

CMDB Sync (Exporter) Service   : FAILED: Exception Raised: COMM_FAILURE: CORBA.COMM_FAILURE(omniORB.COMM_FAILURE_WaitingForReply, CORBA.COMPLETED_MAYBE)

I checked my Appliance Baseline page and it pretty much says the same thing.

So I checked the CMDB Sync settings, and the service appears to be running, and the [Test Connection] succeeds fine. When I view the CMDB Sync Status tab, I get red text that says:

class org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE

.

I can’t find any clear indication of cause in the logs.
Anyone else ever seen anything like this?

I checked the tw_svc_cmdbsync_exporter.out file and it shows “[jacorb.poa.controlle] ERROR : rid: 20 opname: sync invocation: throwable was thrown (java.lang.OutOfMemoryError)”.
The ‘OutOfMemoryError’ caught my eye, so I checked the Appliance Performance graphs, and sure enough the chart showed that it was maxed out.
So, I used the Control panel to [Reboot Appliance]. It came back up fine, and I got a new flood of emails, but now when I look at the Performance Hardware Statistics, it shows me: “Error in loading data” under Hourly Memory Usage Statistics.
I guess it’s time to open a support case.

I’m not exactly sure why or how, but it seems rebooting the appliance eventually cleared the memory issues and Appliance Baseline failures, and CMDB Sync has resumed successfully updating Atrium.

One for support to investigate Brent if the issue didn’t clear for you.

Same error here when loading a full diagram of the observed host communication for 100 hosts. Unable to load the view with identical explicit error message. Thoughts?

Error details: org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE:
