Just wanted to know if ADDM has any integration capability with HP SAM (Session Allocation Manager). Bit of a random question I know but would appreciate your comments.
I’m not personally aware of HP SAM, what sort of technology is it and what would you expect from an integration? From a brief Goolge it’s not clear to me if this is something like Citrix to farm out desktop sessions or a credential management system.
Or are you just looking for ADDM to map the technology?
Thanks Charles for the welcome!
Thinking about this more logically I would like to see if HP SAM could produce a file feed that ADDM can import internally (just how a CISCO works feed imports into ADDM to display switch data). I guess I would need to confirm if HP SAM can do this then see in what format ADDM can import the data.
If HP SAM is a network management tool then yes you could produce a file that the Ciscoworks importer could use to create nodes to represent your edge switches, however I don’t believe SAM is such a tool?
If you are looking to import general data then it would be much better to do this at the CMDB level through AIE (Atrium Integration Engine) that is designed for this purpose.
