This Configuration Guide is intended for IT operations staff and managers who are using or setting up and managing Tideway Foundation. It provides the following:

• Configuring and updating the Foundation appliance.
• Setting up initial data and running the discovery process.
• Viewing details of your IT systems, both from an infrastructure and from a business perspective.
• Adding to and amending the information held in the database, for example to add business information to the data automatically discovered by Foundation.

• Attaching existing files to a data object, for example for disaster recovery purposes.
• Exporting Foundation data to other applications, such as Microsoft Excel.

• Context-Sensitive Reporting and Linking – details the reporting features of Tideway Foundation, including how to run standard and customised reports.
