1. To access the UI, enter the following URL into your browser:

   http://ip-address/

   where ip-address is the address of the virtual machine. This is displayed at the VMware console login.

2. The login page is displayed.
   
   Login as the system user. To do this, enter the system username and password. The initial passwords for Tideway Foundation Community Edition are:
   • username - system
   • password - system
3. Click the Terms and Conditions link to display the terms and conditions of the Community Edition license. When you have read the terms and conditions, select the I accept the terms and conditions of use checkbox.
4. Click the Login button.
5. The main Foundation home page is displayed.

The complete set of pdf documentation is available from the appliance at any time. To access this, click the Help icon in the top left corner of the screen. The drop-down help menu is displayed.

Limitation Reminder

You are running the Community Edition of Tideway Foundation. This is a functionally complete version of Tideway Foundation which is available for download. The community edition may be used to scan up to 30 hosts in your production environment. When more than 30 host nodes have been created in the data store, you cannot create any new discovery runs and discovery is disabled. This prevents any accidental breach of the license agreement.
You are periodically reminded of the terms of this agreement by a pop up dialog. The dialog may be dismissed by clicking the Close button.

The dialog provides the following links:

• limitations apply - opens a page which shows the license terms of the Community Edition.
• forums - opens the Tideway Community Forums.
• feedback page - opens an online survey which gives you the opportunity to provide feedback on Tideway Foundation Community Edition.

Additional Limitations

In addition to the limitation on discovery, the following features are disabled:

• XML Export API
• CSV Export API
