Introduction

This document describes the Searching and Reporting service of Tideway Foundation. It is intended for software developers and users who are familiar with query languages such as SQL. The searching and reporting service provides a high-level mechanism for retrieving data stored in the data store. It is mainly driven by a query language that specifies which nodes to retrieve, and the attributes of those nodes to display.

This document describes how to enter search queries and then provides reference to the query language itself. It assumes familiarity with Tideway Foundation, including details of the data model and the taxonomy.
