This section describes application modeling. Application modeling refers to the creation of a database model which represents the current state of "interesting" software applications on your network. This section describes application modeling, the Tideway Pattern Language (TPL) which is used to create applications models, and the Tideway Foundation data model. It contains the following sections: Introduction to Application Modeling – provides an overview of application modeling. Template Patterns – describes the template patterns that are supplied with Tideway Foundation. Tideway Pattern Language TPL – provides a reference guide to the Tideway Pattern language. Worked Example – provides a worked example of modeling a simple business application. Node Lifecycle – describes the Tideway Foundation data model and the way it works. Be aware that the PDF document is simply a snapshot and will be outdated should updates occur on the wiki.
