This section describes application modeling. Application modeling refers to the creation of a database model which represents the current state of "interesting" software applications on your network. This section describes application modeling, The Pattern Language (TPL) which is used to create applications models, and the BMC Atrium Discovery data model. It contains the following sections: Introduction to Application Modeling – provides an overview of application modeling. Template Patterns – describes the template patterns that are supplied with BMC Atrium Discovery. The Pattern Language TPL – provides a reference guide to the Tideway Pattern language. Worked Example – provides a worked example of modeling a simple business application. Node Lifecycle – describes the BMC Atrium Discovery data model and the way it works.
