Logging in to the BMC Atrium Discovery UI

To access the UI, enter the following URL into your browser:
```
http://ip-address/
```
where ip-address is the address of the virtual machine. This is displayed at the VMware console login.
The login page is displayed.

Login as the system user. To do this, enter the system user name and password. The initial passwords for BMC Atrium Discovery are:
- user name - system
- password - system
If you are using the Community Edition, you must agree to the terms and conditions. Click the Terms and Conditions link to display the terms and conditions of the Community Edition license. When you have read the terms and conditions, select the I accept the terms and conditions of use checkbox.
Click the Login button.
A change password screen is displayed.

You cannot proceed without changing your password. Complete the following fields:

Current password - enter the password you used to log in.
New password - enter your new password.

Verify password - enter your new password again to verify it.

Password Quality
By default, the password that you enter must have at least one of each of the following: one lower case character, one upper case character, one numeric character, and one special character. It must also contain a minimum of 6 characters.

You can change this requirement by configuring password policies. See Managing Security Policies in the BMC Atrium Discovery Configuration Guide.

The main BMC Atrium Discovery home page is displayed.
