Resolution: Fixed in the code; now, cancelling a consolidation also cancels the in-progress consolidation run and stops receiving data from the scanning appliance.
14382 Problem: If a BMC Atrium CMDB user sets the auditType attribute to any value, the BMC Atrium Discovery Mainframe extension overrides the change.

When the slave is running on a 2008 system and there is a request to discover a file beneath the C:\Windows\System32 directory it will fail. The IIS, HyperV and DB2 patterns are impacted by this.
Resolution: Code fix, this no longer occurs.
12675 Problem: Large amount of hosts makes auto-grouping useless.
Workaround: Documentation fix. Automatic grouping is intended as a baselining tool for use at the scale of 100 to 500 hosts. At larger scale the usefulness and usability of the visualizations is diminished.

  1. Package discovery: The package list for a 64-bit system will always be incomplete. When running the slave on a 32-bit platform only the 64-bit packages are discovered. When running the slave on a 64-bit system only the 32-bit packages are discovered.
  2. Registry queries: Registry queries will succeed when the slave is running on a 32-bit system. The result of registry queries for a slave running on a 64-bit system will vary depending on the Operating System version. For slaves running on XP_64 or 2003_64 the queries will succeed. For slaves running on 2008_64 the queries are likely to fail - it is not predictable.

11373 Problem: In previous versions it was possible for NetworkInterface nodes to have non-unique keys. This is no longer the case. On upgrade, existing nodes are updated to have unique keys. Where an exporter is configured to use the NetworkInterface node key, export errors may occur due to the differing keys.
Resolution: Existing mapping sets must be checked for use of the key field of the NetworkInterface node, and corrective action taken if required. The action will be dependent on how the export destination consumes the data; changes are not required on behalf of BMC Atrium Discovery.
12183 Problem: The default timeout for discovery credentials may be too short for discovery of ESX servers.
