Product Description
HP OpenView Storage Area Manager (OVSAM) software helps simplify and automate the management of storage resources, infrastructure and application capacity.
From a central console, it enables you to selectively monitor, manage, optimize and plan storage and storage service availability, performance, usage, cost, and growth, it also enables management and planning for capacity related to Oracle and Microsoft Exchange applications.
The OVSAM software suite consists of five functional modules: Storage Node Manager, for device management; Storage Builder, for capacity management; Storage Optimizer, for performance management; Storage Allocater, for storage allocation and virtualized access control; and Storage Accountant, for usage metering and billing.
Each component functions either individually or together to enable integrated storage resource, application capacity and infrastructure management, this "building block" architecture and out-of the box integration capabilities ensure rapid deployment
OVSAM also offers integration with third party reporting tools and Enterprise management tools which further help to guarantee quality of services and increase the value of the storage investments.
